Aceclofenac 100 MG Tablet is an analgesic medication that alleviates pain, stiffness, and inflammation associated with bone and joint issues. It is also effective for relieving headaches, toothaches, backaches, menstrual pain, as well as sprains and strains. The mechanism of action involves inhibiting the release of pain-inducing and inflammatory substances within the body.
Aceclofenac 100 MG Tablet can cause side effects like dizziness, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, indigestion, and diarrhoea. These side effects subside by themselves. However, consult your doctor if they remain for a long time or become severe.
Aceclofenac 100 MG Tablet can be taken with a meal to avoid stomach irritation. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of treatment based on the severity of your condition. Avoid taking more than the prescribed dose. For the ease of remembering, take it at around the same time every day. Take this medicine for the complete duration of treatment. Indication:
Aceclofenac 100 MG Tablet is prescribed for alleviating pain and inflammation associated with various conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dental pain, post-traumatic pain, low back pain, and gynaecological pain.
Administration:
It is recommended to take Aceclofenac 100 MG Tablet with food or immediately after meals to reduce the risk of stomach irritation.
Adult Dose:
For adults, the typical dosage for conditions like ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis is 100 mg taken twice daily. For the sustained-release tablet, the prescribed dose is usually 200 mg once daily.
Renal Dose:
Aceclofenac, as a phenylacetic acid derivative, possesses anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. It acts as a potent inhibitor of cyclo-oxygenase, which is involved in prostaglandin production.
Contraindication:
The use of Aceclofenac 100 MG Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to aspirin or NSAIDs, moderate to severe renal impairment, pregnancy (especially in the third trimester), and a history of peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding. It’s also not recommended for patients with active infections.
